To hug

Overthinking a hug I gave to some new friends.
Won’t see them for a few weeks and see them a couple of times a week. They have both hugged me once or twice before. I joined them to say goodbye and as I did I pulled them both in from each side to hug together. Don’t think they were expecting it and it’s something thats unlike me but just felt right.
Now feeling like it might have been a little awkward for them.
Does it sound like I was inappropriate / unreasonable? How would you have felt being on the receiving end of this?

Massively overthinking

this is weird

they have hugged you
and now you’re getting worked up about hugging them

how “new” are the friends?

CrystalTitsBoss · 21/12/2023 15:50

Seriously, don't give it another thought. All is good.

DaftyInTheMiddle · 21/12/2023 15:50

Yeah you’re overthinking lol. I’m not a hugger but if someone did this I’d just think ooh and go with the flow but it wouldn’t pass my mind later on.

It’s just a hug. Stop overthinking and move on.

They have hugged you before so are not scared of hugs so I wouldn’t overthink it.
