Was due to meet for lunch in a cafe. Outside someone getting ready to vomit. Waiting to be seated in cafe and person who was nauseous/vomiting came into cafe and sat down. I must have looked horrified and she said not to worry she does not have a hangover but is "sick".

Why run the risk of passing on a sickness bug or vomiting in the cafe? Surely as soon as you got to the point of feeling sick you would go home?

I would assume she is pregnant and needed to eat, can’t think of any reason someone with a vomiting bug would go to eat

Don't think pregnant as she said she was sick.

If she had a vomiting bug she wouldn't be able to face eating. I would think chemo or morning sickness or something like that.

I can’t see why she would ‘reassure’ you that she’s not hungover, but sick instead. Plenty of people early on in pregnancy don’t announce it to random strangers, she could still be pregnant or hungover, or have a chronic illness. Lots of things that aren’t a stomach bug that they don’t have to declare to anyone.
