I’m at the edge of my nerves. My normal temp lately seems to always be around 37. But this last week it’s gone up to around 37.7. Especially in the early evening. What’s going on. I’m very anxious about my health. I am around ovulation the last few days. But ovulation aside is it normal to have a temp as high as 37.2 37.4 most days?

That's well within normal range, no reason to worry atm

CruCru · 20/12/2023 18:16

Is there a reason you are concerned? If you are unwell you’ll feel rotten.

TheShellBeach · 20/12/2023 18:17

That's completely normal in the luteal phase of your cycle.

nutsnutspistachionuts · 20/12/2023 18:20

Completely normal. I think normal is 36.5 - 37.5ish isn't it? I'm always above 37 too, anyway.

CoatOfArms · 20/12/2023 18:22

I’m very anxious about my health.

Stop taking your temperature and obsessing about it. You are just feeding your anxiety.

Cattiwampus · 20/12/2023 18:27

Up until menopause, my normal temp was 35.7
Well past that point now, and it’s between 37-38

Thatladdo · 20/12/2023 18:35

Hi Fightingtobepositive, how are you taking this temperature?
Its unlikely these small temperature deviations are accurate, stop obsessing please.

BMW6 · 20/12/2023 18:37

Your temperature is perfectly normal.

Google " human normal body temperature"

Get some therapy for your anxiety.

Fightingtobepositive · 20/12/2023 21:37

@CruCru just wondering why it’s higher I get health anxiety that it could be something underlying.

@nutsnutspistachionuts thank you for responding. That comment really has helped ☺️

@Thatladdo forehead and ear. they do change so much.

@BMW6 thank you. ☺️

Why are you taking your temperature so often?

ltappleby · 20/12/2023 22:03

Mine’s 36, I never have a fever, even when I’m ill. When I had Covid it climbed to 37.2.

HomeDilemma23 · 20/12/2023 22:06

It depends how you measure it. Mine is 38.1 which would be a little high for most but I’ve been like this my whole life so nothing to be concerned about

TheShellBeach · 20/12/2023 22:12

Why do you take your temperature so often, OP?

Do you also check your pulse and do mini ECGs every day?
Because that's unhealthy.

Fightingtobepositive · 20/12/2023 22:14

@Babybearissleeping it started just when I was comparing it to my little ones and noticed it was on the higher side so it set my anxiety off and obviously I’ve continued to check it. I used to average around 36.8.

OP posts:
Fightingtobepositive · 20/12/2023 22:16

@HomeDilemma23 really? Well that puts me at ease slightly. I guess I used to average around 36.8 but norms it’s a little higher these days so it’s got to me.

but all the comments are helping. I hope it is normal and I can stop overthinking it.

OP posts:
Titsywoo · 20/12/2023 22:28

Mine tends to be on the low side - about 35.8

BMW6 · 21/12/2023 17:34

Well have you Googled it OP instead of getting the opinions of randoms from the Internet?

Why put your faith in us rather than the NHS website?

Are you getting therapy?

Fightingtobepositive · 21/12/2023 21:34

@BMW6 Google is the reason health anxiety is so high!
