I have been offered a virtual appointment, but I am not set up for zoom.
( currently no laptop etc) rubbish camera on phone.
AIBU to say I can only do telephone?

Yes they won't be able to see me, but I could at least explain side effects.

Can you not just download the free version of Zoom onto your phone?

Aquarius1234 · 19/12/2023 14:57

I've never used Zoom. Not even sure I would need it for a virtual appointment.

It's unlikely that the appointment is on Zoom. Most likely a NHS- secure system (Dr Dr or Attend Anywhere) in which case you receive a link via email or text on the day of the appointment. If you don't want to be on camera, you can call admin and request a change to TC appointment.

Just phone and say you can only do telephone.

I don't ever do video calls. It's never been a problem for me. I just refuse and say they will have to phone me.

Okay.
It's a private review consultation, but I'll Just say I'm unable to do virtual.
