Holiday villas and resorts

Hi I'm afraid i can't find any section with chat about holidays. I'm posting for traffic, I know I am unreasonable sorry.

My parents (age 70) want to go away with us next year (we are 38 with 2 kids age 7 and 2)

We're thinking a maximum of 4 hour flight probably Spain/Balearics/canaries/Greece but we haven't been on a holiday abroad since 2016 and rarely before that. The kids have been on short flights around the UK and ireland so should be fine to fly.

My parents would like a villa and we were also thinking of a villa on a resort where there might be more for the kids to do (and adults - maybe a spa)

We ideally want to do it on a budget and would like some recommendations as I feel I've exhausted Google. I can't identify a budget as its been so long since we travelled. Maybe £4000? Not sure if that's realistic. Thank you

You might get more answer ther but I do like booking holidays and am currently organising one for my parents, my sister and her children. Looked at villas for all of them. Greece and mainland spain found some good deals. Balearics were ridiculous prices.

What month/dates would you be thinking of going ?

Martinhall would fit the bill but it is £££

How long do you want to go for?

£4 k for all 6 of you? Then no £4K for 4 then maybe.

I hate villas , too much effort. I’d pick a resort everytime. All inclusive ( even if you go out for dinner) so kids can get drinks and snack ls etc and there is loads to do.

Why do your parents prefer a villa? Perfectly reasonable but just wondering.
I find there is more entertainment for the kids in a hotel, and if you have a villa you may need a car and one big enough for 6 plus car seats.

If its about self catering then you can get apartments in a hotel like complex that are SC, but more to do and more facilities than a villa.
In a complex there will be kids clubs and just other kids to play with etc.

When I looked at villas last year they were significantly more expensive than booking same number of beds self catering.
