I've got a day off tomorrow all to myself...what can I do?? Don't fancy shopping but want to go out and do something as it's just lovely this time of the year.
Any ideas? X

There are so many things I could be doing before shopping ever entered my mind. Hard to advise without knowing where you live and what you are interested in.
My days off usually go two ways - either a day in town or a hike.
Day in town involves getting up early and going to a couple of galleries, stopping for lunch and ice-cream, then heading to a theatre show or a BFI for a obscure film. Finishing off with a glass of whiskey at a jazz bar.
Hiking involves jumping in a car with my dog and climbing Sugar Loaf or going to Devon for a beach stroll.

A mooch around a Christmas market taking in the atmosphere, lunch somewhere nice then a hot chocolate. Or a date with a book and the sofa 😁

At the moment I'd opt for the second and get a takeaway 🤣🤣

Lie in, nice country walk going by good pub/cafe for lunch.
Home. I'd put a good radio drama on and potter about making gingerbread or something, delicious and not very nutritious.
Or just go back to bed and read/fall asleep

lay in, lazy breakfast

out for a Xmas mooch & cheeky lunch out with a glass of fizz

home to watch tv (recommended six four on ITVX) with a Chinese & a g&t

bliss

I'd go, gym, long lazy shower / bath and some home treatments, lunch out, go to a gallery / museum, head home via local pub for a swift half.

BitOutOfPractice · 18/12/2023 18:07

If you dont live in a museum / gallery kind of place, the pictures instead.

I would go for a long walk or maybe a bus ride and look at the Christmas trees, an afternoon film and maybe a gallery before picking up something for dinner on the way home, then an early night. I'm in central London though, so that's all easy Xmas Smile

How about seeing if there’s a carol service or Christmas concert on somewhere near?

Pottery painting, yoga, nice walk and lunch

CruisingForAMusing · 18/12/2023 18:27

Treat breakfast (almond croissant), gym, shower, Christmas film, treat lunch (halloumi amd avocado on sourdough), long relaxed dog walk
