Do you use the same mop/broom for the bathroom and kitchen?

We can’t due to accidents (FIL) but it’s crazy the different number of mops we have, separate Karcher parts for designated areas etc.

I use a steam mop. I Wash the kitchen floor and then the bathroom. The fabric mop part gets rinsed through with disinfectant then washed in the washing machine.

Yes! Never occurred to me not to. All gets rinsed/washed in detergent.

Candycurrantbun · 17/12/2023 18:41

Yes. I only have one mop.

Lauram82 · 17/12/2023 18:42

Yes, it hasn’t occurred to me not too, I use a disinfectant floor cleaner or a mix of bleach/washing up liquid on the floors.

ohtowinthelottery · 17/12/2023 18:42

No. I have a mop with a blue head for the hall/kitchen/utility and a mop with a red head for the 3 bathrooms and downstairs toilet.

Domestically no.
Professionally yes.

I have a separate mop for my bathroom. I use a different cleaner on my bathroom floor and with my luck I'd accidentally create a noxious gas or something inadvertently combining cleaners

We have a mop that does the whole of the downstairs. The bathroom only has a small floor space, so I just do it on my hands and knees with a cloth in hand.

Same

CornishPorsche · 17/12/2023 19:02

Yes, but I clean from downstairs to up and the bathroom is last, then the mop head goes in the washing machine on a boil wash with the bathmat and anything else that needs it.

kitsuneghost · 17/12/2023 19:29

No. But I use the same mop for living room and kitchen. Bathroom is tiny so just use a floor wipe.

My coffee shop would get shut down for that. Im exaggerating but certainly a 1 food hygiene .
