To think this probably isn’t a tummy bug?

Wise women of mumsnet… DS was sick once today. Has been absolutely fine ever since, no temperature, says he feels fine. But there was a bug going around school about a week ago. Do we think this is a bug and I have to do the 48hrs off school? Or could it just be a random event for no reason? It was immediately after a car journey. But he’s never been sick from car journeys although regularly says he feels sick in the car. What do you think?

Could definitely be a bug. My son was sick once with one. I caught it about 24hrs later and DH 48hrs later. If it was my child I'd be keeping them home for the 48hrs. It's the week before Christmas and I'm sure everyone would appreciate not having a bug spread about if they can help it

We once got a tummy bug where my toddler was sick once but my dh and I had a horrendous 24h with it so unfortunately it could be

Thanks both, will definitely keep him off then. Had no idea you could just be sick once with a bug. Every time he’s had one it’s been relentless vomiting and diarrhoea for 24hrs!
