That drinking 4 pints between 530pm and 1130pm is putting you over the limit to drive a car. The defence is they ate a three course meal in between that “soaked up” the booze.

6 hours for 4 pints is a long time... and once you factor in food too. Eating does inhibit the absorption rate of alcohol.

stinks of alcohol. Slightly sluring his words. I can tell hes been drinking. Hes driven an hours drive, not local

A quick google says no. Four hours to metabolise 2 points (mitigating factors aside)

Oh sorry cross posted

clearly unfit! What are you going to do? Is it a regular occurrence?

User87645632 · 16/12/2023 00:54

No but its hard to tell really as he has a drinking problem i suspect. He couldve gone across to the pub opposite the house for one before walking in the house (thats not unusual). Hes very good at hiding his drinking

eating food may slow the spike in the blood alcohol level but it does not change the amount of alcohol in the system! food does not 'absorb alcohol'.

this person sounds like a prat. (is it Boris?) no excuse for drink driving.

User87645632 · 16/12/2023 06:38

Risky behaviour isnt it, when he drives a company car and works over an hour away down a motorway. What a prat

Absolute denial this morning that they were unfit to drive. Getting defensive arguing the food would have saved them being over the limit 😡

1 pint would put you over the limit in Scotland.

I know England isn't as strict but can't imagine it could possibly be safe to drive after 4 pints.
