Antibacterial carpet cleaner spray? PLEASE HELP!

Dd has had an accident today and trodden contents of nappy into carpet. I don’t even know where to begin cleaning it. Can’t afford professional cleaners. Tried looking for a ready made spray but keep finding stain removers which obviously isn’t the same thing! Anyone have any other ideas?!

We used pet cleaning sprays when DS had accidents.

I've just used anti bacterial spray for anything like this in the past. Wise to do a patch test in an inconspicuous area first though.

Get a pet cleaning enzyme spray from the pet aisle in the supermarket. Get as much up with kitchen roll first. Then use j-cloths and pet enzyme spray to clean the rest.

Something like this

Normal washing up liquid to clean.
As per previous pet cleaning spray or just a carpet cleaning spray and standard antibacterial spray would work too.

Normal biological soap powder in some warm water should do it

Do you have a Library Of Things near you?

That's probably the cheapest way to hire a carpet cleaning machine for the day. Ask around your friends too - someone who has recently had a puppy might have got one of the smaller spot cleaning machines

Otherwise YY to using enzyme cleaner sold for pet owners. Biological washing powder/liquid can do the trick too. Make sure you're not inadvertently rubbing it in further whist cleaning
