BORING THREAD ALERT
Something I've noticed a few times now and wondering if it's a Primary vs Secondary thing or a State vs Private thing. Or neither.
DC all went to same state Primary. (One still there)
At that school it's treated how it was (as far as my memory serves) when I was at school.
E.g. As if the teachers don't really have a name other than Mrs Smith.
Even at events when kids aren't around they call each other Mrs Smith, Mr Jones etc etc. And always call us parents Mr Mrs Howard etc.
But - 2 now older and at different private secondaries. One mixed and one all girls.
At both when the teachers are talking to, or about each other it's first names used. Even in front of the children and according to what I'm told even when parents aren't there.
The kids do call them Mr/Mrs/Madame etc.
It's made me wonder if this is just coincidence amongst the two secondaries I've spent time at. Or if there's something in it?
