I've given up watching it now as I am so confused. I plan to wait until it's all over, and then get the set of dvds of all the episodes I've missed. I'm not fully convinced that the writers will ever explain it all to us, I reckon they're making it up as they go along.

catsmother · 14/03/2008 20:28

I gave up on it around 47 years ago ......

dinny · 14/03/2008 20:28

well, of course they are, POT, it is a drama after all!

littleducks · 14/03/2008 20:30

my dh told me they were intending on making 10 series, so they will drag it on for years!

justneedsomesleep · 14/03/2008 20:33

i do know deep down that they are making it up as they go along - only adds to my frustration.....wish i had an imagination like that...............

there are only two more series' after this one so I can cope.
You'd lose interest if it had all come out in the first series, i think the flash-forwards are genius

emj23 · 14/03/2008 20:34

I read somewhere that it was only supposed to be three seasons long, but when it proved to be so popular, the writers decided to spin it out. That just bugs me, quite frankly. I think I will do the DVD thing too, when I know that a conclusion has been reached. I got lost by the end of the first series. Lost. Heh heh.

rantinghousewife · 14/03/2008 20:36

I'm completely fed up to the back teeth of it, I do have it on just in case but, I've given up paying close attention to it.
And yes, Naveen Andrews did say in an interview that in his opinion, the writers were making it up as they went along but, he believed that things were back on track now.

squigglywig · 14/03/2008 20:39

But today's episode was good, no? Made a bit more sense? Or was that just me?

justneedsomesleep · 14/03/2008 20:40

waiting for the latest one to download and then I'll be off to watch it and be back later.

I am not a great tv person but I have to say that regarding LOST I am completely addicted. I have just finished Season 3 and am waiting to be able to rent Season 4 (I know it will be ages away as we don't have Sky).

That pit where all the "Dharma" initiative skeletons are...that Jacob thing...the couple who got paralysed and then buried...I am fascinated by it all. Oh and that Mikhail - didn't he die then come back to life. Same with Ethan, didn't he get killed, then I am sure Juliet saw him in corridor??

I have to say though that from time to time I get anxious that there will be lots of loose ends left undone at the end...I HAVE to know the answers!

onepieceoflollipop · 14/03/2008 20:41

BY the way definitely NBU

onepieceoflollipop · 14/03/2008 20:42

squiggly I find that you watch an episode that might appear to give you several answers...then if you start musing on it all you remember that there are dozens more unanswered questions.

lizandlulu · 14/03/2008 20:44

i am lost. how are you watching an episode today? i thought it was on on sunday nights?

justneedsomesleep · 14/03/2008 20:59

Lost airs in America on Thursdays on the ABC network.

Am trying to keep up to date with it - loving the flash forwards.

Why is Jim Robinson in everything nowadays?

I'm going to watch it tonight. I love it.
My theory: Everybody needs a constant. Desmond has Penny....Hurley has Libby (remember they were in mental institute together). Not really sure about anything else but not sure that the writers do either.

justneedsomesleep · 14/03/2008 21:04

LOVED the ep about the constants!

I thought they had planned 7 series right from the start?? I must admit that every so often I get fed up that there seems to be more questions before you have answers to the old questions but once I get into a show I'm loyal to it!! Totally in love with Naveen Andrews and even have a thing about Terry whatshisname. Poor me. Like the new characters too actually whereas new characters usually get on my tits. When will Richard come back????

squigglywig · 15/03/2008 19:16

I'm still hoping for a Grand Unified Theory for Lost which will answer all past, present and future questions. I know this is probably a hope in vain, but I'm a bit daft like that. Till then though it's still good fun - particularly during night feeds!
