Just received a oodie dressing down, arrived late and what arrived was thin, creased, poor shape..i emailed weeks ago, no reply, other orders are outstanding, no idea when I'll receive them and now I have emailed customer service to request a return, they probably won't reply until the new year. I'm not joking or over exaggerating, this was supper to be buttery soft, thick and cost just like the hoodies. It was thin. I'm.juat ranting.

Bought mine end of September on the 2 for £89. It’s genuinely so thick it acts as a weighted blanket. Genuinely obsessed with it.

Must admit I was disappointed.

Adult DD has been eyeing up the travel Oodie so I got bought one at the start of November, before Black Friday as they were already reduced to thirty something pounds. It finally turned up last week after many questions as to its whereabouts. One of the features of the travel Oodie is an inflatable neck pillow and it advises to take it out of the vacuum bag for a few hours before using, so I opened it so she could try it on Christmas day. I was surprised how thin it was.
I bought us both a hoodie blanket from Online Home Shop last year. I paid £20 each. They seem twice as thick and much much heavier than the Oodie thats arrived.

Whether the travel one is designed thinner I don't know, but I think I'd be loathe to order a standard one based on the quality of the travel one.

Of course a travel oodie will be thinner than a standard one? That's surely the whole appeal! They don't have the thick fleece lining, so you can fold it up. It says as much in the description Confused

OP are you quite sure you ordered from the correct site? They have a .co.uk site. for UK orders.

The hood has thick fleece. It's still much thinner than my OHS one Confused

presumably the hood is made from the same material combination of the standard one.

It's only a fake if it's called an Oodie, you can't say it's a fake if it's a M&S version and called a hooded blanket. If OPs was called an Oodie and isn't one then it's a fake

ladyofshertonabbas · 12/12/2023 12:11

where's it from? We have a genuine Oodie, and its greeattt.

DaftFlerken · 12/12/2023 12:12

I absolutely love my oodie but have to say their shipping is a disgrace. I have purchased twice from them & both times it took ages for delivery in spite of loads of chasing & getting constant excuses.

My sister purchased on 3 weeks ago which still hasn't been delivered & again, lots of excuses

ilovesushi · 12/12/2023 12:13

I got kuddlys for my DC last Xmas and they are amazing. Very soft and thick and heavy and wash well. I ordered one for myself in this autumn and although I still love it, the fabric is slightly more lightweight. I think they must have done some cost cutting. It is still warm and lovely and if I didn't have the direct comparison I might not have known. Maybe oodies have scaled back too?

JamieKnows · 12/12/2023 12:14

"NOTH don't sell a thing themselves. It's a platform for sellers, just like Ebay."

Still rammed full of shite from China, often personalised by someone with a sticker collection and a penchant for wax melts

Peablockfeathers · 12/12/2023 12:15

I think they've expanded too rapidly without the correct infrastructure in place. The quality (yes off of the actual site) is different to even 12 months ago, and the customer service is terrible whereas it used to be brilliant. Either they're struggling or they've changed the materials and cut back on staff to make more $$$s.

Nutellaonall · 12/12/2023 12:19

Much prefer snuggz for the quality.

TheWanderingWoman · 12/12/2023 12:20

That's not good, are they definitely legit? I bought one each for myself and my husband and they're really thick and cosy, we use them all the time in winter and I've found them to be great quality.

Oh no!

I was going to get myself a second as I use it so much. I really hope the quality hasn't gone down.

LardoBurrows · 12/12/2023 12:28

I second the recommendation for a Kuddly. I ordered one after waiting over three weeks for my order from Oodie with still no information on when delivery was likely. My Kuddly was delivered in 4 days and a week later my Oodies turned up so now I have both brands.

My Kuddly is just as warm as the Oodies, same weight and thickness of material and it is better made and finished. The Oodie looks like it was put together in a hurry, the front pockets are not straight and neither is the stitching on the pockets and the hems - this is the same on both Oodies. The Kuddly is well made with straight seams and the pocket is straight.

I wouldn't order from Oodie again especially as their delivery times and response times to emails is appalling, the customer service seems to be a complete shitshow. I would definitely order from Kuddly again.

Wick55 · 12/12/2023 12:42

I’m surprised I got one for my birthday 2 weeks ago it’s insanely soft and thick I’ve never owned anything like it!! I wonder if you’ve been given a fake? X

Beautiful3 · 12/12/2023 12:47

The real oodies don't come from China, they come from Australia. I had to wait a few months for ours! I think you've accidentally bought a counterfeit one.

Minfilia · 12/12/2023 12:51

Granted I’ve had mine for over a year but the quality is really good. I’d be surprised if it’s declined that much in quality over the course of a year, it sounds more like a fake!

nunsflipflop · 12/12/2023 12:54

Their shipping since Black Friday is diabolical. I have been waiting and chasing, still no sign of my order. If this is their service, it can be spun with real gold, I won’t be back

Zoreos · 12/12/2023 12:54

I ordered an Oodie of their website in their Black Friday sale for £39 on the 21/11. It’s of standard lovely Oodie quality. It arrived within ten working days but I think I was one of the lucky ones as I received an email that I’ll copy and paste at the end as it won’t let me add it as a photo. Just for anyone who’s ordered one and not received. If you click on their shipping notice page it says that they’re working to dispatch from multiple dispatch centres in the UK. So I think unfortunately by the sounds of it OP if you’ve had yours dispatched from China it must be a fake.

“Hi Zoreos,
Andrew from The Oodie here just following up on your recent order #OUK.
I want to start by sincerely apologising for any inconvenience you may be experiencing due to the delay in receiving your order.
Our Black Friday sales have been incredibly successful, and we are truly grateful for the overwhelming response from our customers. However, the unprecedented volume of orders has placed a significant strain on our fulfilment centre, leading to unavoidable delays in order processing.
It's important to note that this surge in demand is not unique to our company, and many businesses are currently grappling with similar challenges during this busy holiday season. We completely understand that delays can be frustrating, and we want to assure you that we are actively working to address this situation.
Our team is in constant communication with the fulfilment centre, and we are implementing additional measures to expedite the processing of your orders. To try to clear through this backlog, we have authorised for orders to be split shipped if an item is available in one of our other fulfilment centres, so if you have ordered multiple items and your order has only been partially fulfilled, this is why.
We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding during this exceptional period. Our commitment to delivering quality products remains unwavering, and we are doing everything in our power to get your orders to you as soon as possible.
If you have any specific concerns or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out and one of our Comfort Consultants will assist you. Please note, the current delays at our fulfilment centre has had a flow-on effect on our customer service response times due to an influx of enquiries. We are currently sitting at around a 6-day turnaround time.

gwenneh · 12/12/2023 12:55

I just bought one for my mother as a Christmas gift. Shipping took 8 days and it's nothing like you've described - it's as thick & soft as the Oodies we already have.

nunsflipflop · 12/12/2023 12:55

@Zoreos i have had 2 of those emails, still no order. So close to cancelling, but it is all my DS has asked for

SnowSwan · 12/12/2023 12:56

Mine hasn't even been dispatched yet 😭I just keep getting emails saying "Sorry about the delay, you can cancel if you want."

1AnotherOne · 12/12/2023 12:56

I agree with everyone else, I don’t think you’ve ordered a legit one. Mines so thick I can only wear it when it drops below 3c outside.
