Posting here for traffic.
Bought dd some shoes from schuh on 15th October as the slip on loafers she had didn't last 5 mins. So the Schuh ones were lace ups and looked much more sturdy. Was cleanig them tonight and the soles have got a hole in them already - would it be unreasonable to take them back? She walks a mile each way so quite a bit of wear and tear but 7 weeks??

Were they proper school style school shoes designed for wearing through the school day running playing etc?

Yes - she is secondary so doesn't run or play in them but walks much further than at primary

Of course, YANBU. 7 weeks is a pathetic time for shoes. 2 miles a day isn't a lot at all.

Thanks - they weren't cheap either
