Roast

Went for a roast yesterday at our regular pub, told there was no pork available which is what I planned to order. A table arrived next to us and promptly ordered and were delivered pork roasts !! Should I have brought it up with the waitress? I was already halfway through eating but was puzzled.

Maybe pork was still cooking so wasn't ready when you ordered?

Surely you asked the staff before you left? How will we know?

Maybe they ordered the last of the pork, but the rest of their food took longer than yours?

You sure they didn't pre order?

Maybe they pre-ordered?
Maybe they were family of the chef?
Maybe they had a secret codeword?

But quite- why ask Mumsnet how would we know 😂
