Insects biting, help

Hi all, I’m very house proud but unfortunately we seem to have been invaded by some kind of insect. I have been getting bites for about four weeks, exclusively on my bum, thighs, hips, back and upper arms. We have checked for bed bugs and nothing. We have also had pest control come out who have said no bed bugs, but fleas. We have a dog who we treat monthly, yet there are no fleas on her. A few weeks ago my husband had a couple of small bites on his ankles but nothing since; I seem to be the only one affected. The bites are like the size of maybe a 5p initially when they’re red, only thing is, they don’t itch me at all but can feel sore. They are sporadic and aren’t in any sort of pattern. We have employed pest control who have done one spray, and instructed us we need to wash everything on 60 before it comes back in the house. Since the first spray I am still getting bites. They are scheduled to come back for another spray on Friday as part of their normal practice. The solution has been left to sit in the meantime. Just wondered if anyone had been through something similar? I’m thinking it’s the sofa due to the position I’m getting the bites in and the pest control sprayed it. I always am fully clothed on it though. My sofas are navy velvet so it’s really hard to see anything.

Get some indorex spray off amazon and make sure your pets are treated with flea treatment from a vets

There could be eggs hatching somewhere so hopefully the second spray will get rid of any residual ones. You might have to see how that goes then reassess
Are you confident the dog treatment is effective and being done properly? Are there any on the dog at all?

I thought I’d got badly bitten in the summer, big bites on thigh - asked pharmacist, turned out to be shingles.

Another time I had a much smaller rash all over legs, incredibly itchy. GP reckoned it was viral - went after 3 weeks.

Both times I went crazy cleaning ref bed bugs, fleas etc.

Hello! Thanks for the reply. Nothing on the dog, no. We have used two different types of treatment to be sure. Hopefully as you say it will be okay after the second one!

Thanks for your reply! I went to the docs and they insisted bites - I annoyingly even went back to ask to see another doctor which I feel bad about…
