Birth control pill to stop period.

Can someone please help me out. I want to prevent my next period which is around jan 5th. Reason because I have horrible heavy periods and I am going away for a break that week - so want to relax and not worry.
Lots of info on internet but a bit confusing.
I started my period today. When and how do I take the pill in order to delay next period? I have microgynon.

Just don't have a 7 day break. Carrying on taking the pill every day. I'm on the same pill and have been delaying periods the same way for years.

Run the packs back to back without a break.

I haven't been taking it. Just got it last week. For the purpose of no period in jan. Sorry maybe my post was a bit confusing.

Were you already taking the pill or will this be your first month?

The alternative would have been to use norethisterone to delay your period

Start it now then and then dont have a break at the end and start the next pack straight away.

So from today, and then just continue back to back?
