Holiday hell help!

Can a holiday rental company charge your card without authorisation? I assume not.
Had a nightmare holiday and left a bad review. I was told if I don’t remove the review I’ll be charged €250 legal costs and will be taken to court. Logged on to my app and they’ve actually charged the card I originally paid with at the start of the year!
Surely this is illegal?

Speak to your card issuer about a chargeback.

You need to dissolute it with your card provider as unauthorised

Should have said, I’ve done this and they said they can’t reverse it as had dealings with them before. Now need to go down the dispute route which can take 8-10 weeks!

Stick with the charge back, they'll have to show evidence of a written agreement or service they've provided for the charge. Submit the messages as proof for unauthorized debit if the bank say they do have evidence.
