To just ask him out…

I flirt with one of my colleagues. I know I do. I can’t tell if he does it back. I’m clueless so I have no clue.

Anyway, we talked about hinge today. The date app. And I said “I saw your profile. It came up on my stack” anyway he then said “no way. Really.” I said “yeah. Now I never need to know what your profile looks like” so he went “you know out of curiosity I’ll have to see if I can find yours now” so I went “yeah obvs” to which he said “well, I could swipe no, and then never know if you liked my profile and then never ever know the answer and ir would just be something I never find out and it would go into the ether. Or I could swipe right and it be funny but also a little awkward at the same time.”

then under the next breath he said “I know you’re probably a born again virgin since your last relationship. But since your ex had a woman’s name. Did you call that out in the bedroom” and I said “that’s so weird. Why do you want to know if I moan his name in the bedroom” he just laughed.

Now, he also did me a huge favour and handed me interview questions for an interview I had so I went in able to answer every question easily. And for that I’m super thankful. I sort of wanted to ask him if he wanted to grab a drink at the pub as my way of saying thanks. But I’m not sure how to ask? Or if I should just not ask and never bother.

My policy is if a guy likes me he'll ask me out. I don't do the chasing.

You want to ask him out? He sounds like an absolute knob!

How long have you worked together? I'd never say this sort of stuff to a colleague.

He sounds a bit of a creep.

I'm not getting vibes that he is massively keen here but obviously it's up to you.

I think he’s got no social awareness.
