When should I worry about a cough?

About 3 weeks ago I had a bad chesty cough, I still have a cough although it is more dry now and making me feel breathless. I am also finding it difficult to eat certain food without a it eating stuck in my throat and causing more coughing.

Is this normal, should I be worried?

I don’t think the food thing is normal. I’d get it checked on the basis it’s affecting your ability to eat.

I mean I wouldn't personally be worried if I had a cough for 3 weeks. It's have to be 3 months long before I'd be getting concerned. But then I know people who rush to the doctor if they've had a cough for 3 minutes.

As has been said, the cough is sadly part for the course these days (I'm in the same situation ATM), but the eating thing isn't. In your shoes I'd make a GP appointment about that.

I think coming up to a month I'd be going to the GP, but I had Pneumonia last year and was almost hospitalised so I might not be the most objective person!
