To feel completely overwhelmed?

No clickbaity title so not sure this will get any replies, but wanted to know if any of you would feel as overwhelmed as I do right now given below:

—29 weeks pregnant, care is happening at a Trust that’s just been graded as one of the worst in England and “unsafe”.
—I have a complicated pregnancy /birth history and at risk of uterine rupture.
—2 toddlers at home under 4yrs.
—2 year old has an infection and needs flucloxacillin 4 times/day. It tastes so vile that it’s a two man job with masses of choking, crying, spitting etc. We’re only on day 2 of dosing.
—I’m working with cancer patients which is draining.
—I won’t be eligible for Mat pay, just SMP which has to be paid in a lump sum, so will be even less post NI and tax. Don’t know how we’re going to afford next year.
—Husband has flu and is miserable.
—Dad just had major surgery.
—usual Christmas mental load.

Feeling broken but is this just reality?

I clicked because I feel the same. Different reasons but I’d be completely stressed out in your boat too. Deep breath, hang in there.

I feel overwhelmed at the moment too, I think Christmas exacerbates it too.

Are you unhappy with your care? Is changing trusts an option?

LittleLadyCeCee · 06/12/2023 17:55

Sending lots of ❤Sounds like you’re going through a rough time can’t imagine it helps with your partner being ill. Hang tight things will improve!!

Thank you ❤️ lots of women and babies have died (double national average), and only 50% of staff trained on basic stuff like CTG monitoring, lack of equipment/staff, theatre space… the list goes on. We’re in the worst part of the country for maternity services with neighbouring trusts having legal inquiries and Ockenden Reports etc. Trying to see if they’ll take me in London (where mum lives) but not sure I’ll have any luck! My bar is low—I don’t need clean facilities or food, just for me and baby to be alive and injury free as possible 😂!

I'm really sorry to hear this, I can't imagine how you're soldiering on through this. You're doing amazing. Sorry I don't have much to say, but I'm praying that things get easy for you and you get good care when the time comes.

Take care💝
