I feel like giving you a hug, when I feel like nodding along, when I agree wholeheartedly, when you made me laugh.
If I'm using it wrong and people are wondering why I'm thanking them for stating the obvious or telling a sad story, sorry folks. Wine

Same. I agree with you, I sympathise or thanks for making me laugh.

I use it for any time I want to acknowledge the poster without commenting. It's such a great MN addition :)

ThinWomansBrain · 06/12/2023 17:55

I use it occasionally to acknowledge when someone has referenced my post in a positive way
Would be nice if you got notified of "thanks" in the same way you do when you are referenced in a post.

I wish more people would use the edit feature that appeared at about the same time.

ChanelNo19EDT · 06/12/2023 18:42

Glad to learn that my use of thanks is normal!

If there is a bun fight going on between posters (as so often happens on MN threads) I will use it to signify my agreement with one side without getting involved in their argument - solidarity sister! ✊

Yes, it is the same as a "like" on the site for me
