Does anyone else keep getting sick?

I’ve been sick now for a good 3 weeks seems to clear up then I’m swamped with another bout of sickness.

Nausea
cold symptoms

Not taking anymore time off work so having to just work through it and it’s absolutely kicking my arse.

Kids have been sick so I’m not sure if it’s them bringing it home and giving it to me or what.

This happened to me last spring. I had Covid and then recurring chest infections. I believe having Covid weakened me for a while

I keep getting sick and its annoying now. Hand foot and mouth followed by a cold then hand foot and mouth again! I get a week between of feeling ok then down with something again. I think I'm getting another cold now.

But it is the season for sickness bugs to be going around and I have 2 kids (1 nursery and 1 school age) plus I work in an air conditioned office.......I have no hope!

Yes me ,8 weeks ago some weired virus that made me so ill i could hardly get out of bed to go to the toilet, luckily the worst.of it was over the weekend so could go to work on Monday as normal, 2 weeks after covid, was feeling ok for 2 weeks and now really horrible cold with blocked nose and chesty cough, hardly slept for the last 3 nights,cant take time off and work outside a lot. I had covid 5 times in total, before that i was never getting ill.

Have a read of this. It seems many of us are suffering from something that starts with vomiting and then turns in to 'just' a cold with every symptom imaginable.

My dd and I were sick two weeks ago. She was fine within minutes, I was ill for the next week. Few days of normality then hit with a severe cold. She's had a temp, snot and has been sleeping for far longer than usual, whilst I've had a blocked nose, runny nose, sneezing, headache, aching, coughing til sick and goodness knows what else. Neither have eaten much this week at all.

Yep, floored with a chest infection that landed me in a&e, off work sick for two weeks, had literally two days of feeling OK and now currently suffering particularly painful bout of tonsillitis. I feel like I can't get a break and I'm not keeping my head above water. I'm a single parent and work full time. I'm so bone achingly tired.

Yes! And I’m exhausted! Kids got ill, took me 3 days to fall, they were better by day 5 but me, a good 3 weeks to even feel a little better, and things were on the up then just as the awful cough was going my youngest came out of school feeling ill, had a temp that night and usual cold symptoms, it lasted a day for her before she was well enough to go to school and another day for her to lose her cough and runny nose, which is when she was right I woke up with an itchy throat and now have this awful awful cold and a cough that sounds like an elephant sneezing, my chest hurts from coughing so hard and it wakes me up at night so I’m exhausted, but no signs of it getting better, in fact last night I got a random fever and some sickness too, feels like I have no immune system at all right now 😩

My goodness it sounds exactly like me! Daughter woke up in a sweat last night absolutely drenched and hallucinating. I can’t eat a thing I feel so ill even had a little cry earlier

I know this was posted a while ago now, but how is everyone feeling? I’ve been contantly ill since January and don’t think I can take anymore, currently in bed with some sort of stomach bug!!

@Jayd291 I’m literally on my 13th virus in the last 12 months. Since last Easter it’s been RELENTLESS. Fluey virus, then Covid which floored me to the point I couldn’t function and ended up in hosptial, then tonsillitis 3x needing antibiotics, September I had The Flu (tested), October I had tonsillitis again, December I had Covid, Feb I had The Flu (tested positive in hosptial) and Pneumonia, then 2 weeks later Covid again, now a horrible cold which has me up all night. LO bringing it all home from nursery. It’s exhausting, had all the tests on my immune function / thyroid and that’s shown nothing, am on all the supplements I can think of. Can barely leave the house!!

I've not been well since just after Christmas. One cold after another - symptoms similar to covid, with nausea and a cough. Bloody awful.

I just start to think I'm getting better and have a couple of days where I'm feeling fine-ish, then around it comes again. I Imagine that all this rain isn't helping much.

Yes me. I had that 100 day cough thing. I was exhausted by it. 3 courses of antibiotics- x rays etc. Took ages to clear but still don't feel 100% some months after.

Resurrecting an ancient thread @SedentaryCat but this is exactly how I’ve been for past two months. Just starting the newest cold/flu of maybe 5. Just wondering if you got to the bottom of it or if it eventually just cleared up?
