Sezane, gone so downhill

Been buying sezanne for years but recently i think everything is made so cheaply and wears / washes really badly.

All cheap materials, just sent in a nice box with a spritz of perfume to con you until it'd too late to return.

Anyone else finding the same?

Any recommendations for alternative brands?

It's not cheap so needs to be good And stand test of time. sent entire last order all back Now needing clothes as sized changed post baby

Never shopped there, but it sounds cheap, like a knock off Cézanne.

It's online only, just to be lovely. Recently cheap materials with VERY full pricing

Been googling- apparently a lot now made in china

So annoying when a trusted make goes downhill

Bleurgh

I have heard of it, on the S&B threads. I shop in supermarkets/Debenhams so not much help on recs sorry!

I agree! I still have some great pieces from them that I got last year and I love their bags but the last time I ordered two knitted jumpers with buttons on the sleeves and they just keep falling off.

I still like Ba&sh and Me+Em though. Last shopped in both those places in the summer and it was great quality.

La Redoute for sometimes a similar look but much cheaper (you have to trawl). Esprit worth a look too.

Agree ba&sh and Me+Em have the luxe feel but pricing is well above Sezane I think. Good sales though. Wyse maybe?

I can remember saving for something nice from Sézane but knowing it would be worth it. Not so much these days. Feels like they are always dropping a new collection and becoming very fast fashion. Haven't bought any of their staples in a while, mostly because their older lines are still going strong, but I hope they won't completely lose sight of who they were.

Only seen it because now sold by m&s. It's like mint velvet in that it's all overpriced polyester. I dont think the clothes look good even on the models so I swerve it.

.... really? When did M&S start selling Sézane?

mmmm I think I mostly agree. I have two dresses from Sezanne from 2-3 years ago which are complete staples in my wardrobe. Can wear with black tights in winter or as a summer dress without. They always look amazing, barely crease, are properly lined and immediately feel like a relief when I put them on.

I've really struggled with buying new things from them in the last 18 months, despite really trying and also visiting their Paris shops a few times. I've got one good cotton shirt and structured cardigan recently, but that's it.
