To think this isn’t normal ?

To have had an unbearable sore throat just last week, it went and now have yet another sore throat ?

There’s lots of viruses going round, I wouldn’t think it’s unusual really.

Are you worried about anything in particular?

Sounds rubbish but I wouldn't necessarily worry about it unless it doesn't get better in a couple of weeks and/or it seems like an infection like tonsilitis

That is not really unusual, sometimes sore throats can linger, appear to get better then symptoms return not long later again, colds are like that too, I wouldn't worry too much but hope you get better soon.

Yes, that's normal. Unlucky, certainly, but not abnormal.

There are many different viruses etc that can cause a sore throat and you can certainly pick up more than one in quick succession. It's also possible that you hadn't quite fought off the first virus, and this second bout is just a resurgence of it.

Either way - you have my sympathy! It's always rotten to be ill again just when you think you've got better.

Hopefully it won’t be as bad as the last one as that was unbearable.
I’ve got so much going on over the next few days, really frustrating.

You may need to give extra support to your immune system by way of diet and supplements.

I am sure the common viruses going around since the pandemic are much more vicious than they were before.
