NC for this as I don’t want it linked to my other posts.

My 17 year old nephew has asked for Kanye West album posters. My issue is that Kanye is controlling and is anti-Semitic and I really don’t want to buy these as I don’t feel comfortable supporting him.

WIBU to ask my SIL (who has sent me the link for them) if there are any other artists that I could buy?

YABU - just buy the posters.
YANBU - reasonable to feel uncomfortable about this and ask for an alternative.

Give him cash

He’s 17 - you don’t need to ask his mother. Just transfer him some money on Christmas Day and follow up (after the fraught festive period) with a brief chat about your objections. That could be a worthwhile conversation.

It's just a gift, you're prob over thinking it.

I would let them know that you are not going to buy this and offer either money or another gift as an option. I agree with you on the reasons.

Just give cash instead
