AIBU to keep DS off nursery

DS (3.5) has been ill for the past 6/7 weeks. I know mixing with other kids and the time of year is a recipe for illness but it's getting beyond a joke. He started out with a heavy cold, then had croup, followed by a D&V bug. He hasn't slept properly in over 3 weeks and just can't seem to catch a break. He's no sooner starting to get over one illness and then catches another. He's still not well and nursery sent an email out today notifying parents that there have been 2 confirmed cases of hand, foot and mouth within the setting.

WIBU to keep him off this week to give him a chance to actually recover from his existing, ongoing viruses before knowingly exposing him to more? Or, is it just one of those things with young kids?

You'll still pay regardless, but if you can keep him off without affecting work, do it! Get him a bit healthier so he can enjoy the run up to Christmas!

Got many years to enjoy of him coming home ill. The world shouldn't stop every time. Send to nursery.
