We have the same house, but mirror image. Our next door neighbours have put up the exact same Christmas lights as us in the exact same place, the day after ours went up.

Saw the old git earlier and he avoided me.

I love symmetrical designs so this would really please me. If I had a mirror house I'd probably try and organise the lights to go like this anyway. I honestly think you're being very petty here op.

If you have identical houses then surely you've both just put lights up in the logical places that fit the style of the house? There are only so many places you can fix lights to.

What I wouldn’t give for all the homes in my cul-de-sac to be decorated the same!
I especially detest blue icicle lights and ‘cool’ white ones, especially stringy ones that blow about ( looking at you, opposite neighbour 🤬) .
