Your Experience Ordering from Temu

I've been looking for some nice dresses for my work Christmas party and stumbled upon a bunch on Temu, featuring knock-off prices — some are even under £10. I haven't made a purchase from Temu before, so I'm a little sceptical. I'm just curious to know, have you had any experience with them before I place an order?

Made by enslaved people, doesn't need to meet any safety standards and the app harvests your data. Apart from that, fine.

I am very happy with my Temu purchases. Quality is as you'd expect for low price. But true to description and quick delivery.

MrsCarson · 04/12/2023 11:49

I've not bought clothes, but the things I have bought have arrived fairly quickly and the quality was just fine, same as B&M or Home bargains quality. I never downloaded the app I use my laptop to order.
I just order a couple of dresses from Roman with a discount code and the sale, if you look at party dresses there.

Every single app you use harvests your data.

"Made by enslaved people", unfortunately, that could be true for some mainstream retailers as well.

Received my first order today, low quality but was to be expected for the price

Prinnny · 04/12/2023 12:18

I’ve not had clothes, had some stocking filler bits hair clips etc and they’ve been fine. The only thing is delivery can take a while so be mindful of that if you need the dress for a certain date.

justaboutdonenow · 04/12/2023 12:22

Never bought from them, never will, seen enough to know they're not a good company.

ironixallyenough · 04/12/2023 12:24

I've had some clothes from Temu and have been happy with them. Similar quality to Matalan or Asda. So far everything has been true to size.

That doesnt make it any less of a valid statement.

My experience is that I used my brain and spent my money more wisely.

Laffinalltheway · 04/12/2023 12:25

Quality of clothing varies. Some very good, some awful. Delivery has taken exactly one week from time of ordering on each of the 3 orders I've placed. Returns and refunds surprisingly easy and quick. Haven't downloaded the app, just use laptop.
