Heating struggling to reach 18 degrees

I was away last night. I had the overnight temperature in the house set to come on if dropped below 13 degrees. From 7am, set to 18 degrees. By 4pm the house (bungalow) was still only 16.5. I've no idea why as we are well insulated and a small bungalow plus have a brand new boiler. Should I set the heating higher overnight, say 15/16 so it doesn't take so long to heat up to 18 in the morning? It usually reaches 18 fairly quickly in a morning. Has anyone else's heating struggled to reach temperature today because of the cold snap? -3 here last night.

Mine’s struggling today as well. Partly because it’s an old house. Partly the temp outside.

It’s been turning itself on and off all day trying to keep the temp at 14. I’ll be surprised if it gets up to 18 when it comes on in a minute. I don’t think it did this morning.

What time did it switch to 13 last night? Has it just got really cold overnight and taking a long time to reach a reasonable temp because it hasn't warmed up outside?

Sounds like your flow temp wants upping.
Try it at 60-65°.

I’ve had to increase mine from 52° to 60°
Are your trv’s fully open in the room with the thermostat?
If not they will be fighting each other.

Will get DH to look at that tomorrow. Thanks!

How does your house actually feel? We have had external insulation plus new radiators put in last year and it feels so much warmer…our (newish) thermostat has been showing 15 degrees in the daytime this week and yet I’ve been feeling so warm,we are only needing to put it up to 17 for the evenings.
