Ordered flowers for DDs bday today via the website a week ago with them. It's her first bday not with us .. selected her birthday as the date for delivery . It's getting late so starting chasing them .. finally got through to someone on chat function who said they're not coming today but I can have ten pounds off a future order . They're won't be any further orders ! For F's sake they had one job . Now it's so late and I'm five hours away from her so can't do anything . Actually told her to get a little table ready ..
Just to add to the disappointment. I will never order from them again .

Annoying but not worth getting so worked up about it! Shit happens. I'm sure your daughter will be understanding

itsmyp4rty · 01/12/2023 17:42

What's the point of being able to choose the day something is delivered if they don't deliver it on that day. I'd be seriously pissed off too as this was your dd's birthday that you're away from for the first time. I'd be on their SM complaining about it, they might be inclined to do more than offer money off a future order then!

mashaflower · 01/12/2023 17:43

Yeah. Shit happens, like @Fairygoblin said. Best to just forget it and get flowers from Tesco's

Floopani · 01/12/2023 17:44

That is crap of them OP, given that delivering flowers as gifts in specific dates is one of their core business functions!

I'd be fuming and disappointed too, and insulted at £10 off a future order. They could have at least let you know about the delay!

xyz111 · 01/12/2023 17:45

Is it their fault though? They get delivered via Royal Mail, so is it them that's caused the delay?

Deliadidit · 01/12/2023 17:46

I would be fuming too! Did they offer an explanation or apology?

I have been very disappointed with the quality of their flowers in the past and won’t use them anymore.

Their delivery agent had one job to do……

Why is everyone always fuming on MN. Disappointed maybe but fuming?

moijejoue · 01/12/2023 17:48

@doubleshotcappuccino If it's available at her location sometimes Deliveroo or Uber eats have florists. They a bit pricey but as a last resort maybe?

Sorry to hear about your bloom and wild experience.. I've recently gone off them as I feel like they're more faff than receiving a pretty bunch of flowers and I can never get them to look nice 😅

Because if I had ordered flowers for my Daughter on her Birthday and Bloom and Wild didn’t deliver as their promise, after I had paid good money - I would be absolutely fuming!

Is that clear enough for you?

FMOX15 · 01/12/2023 17:59

Did you pay for guaranteed delivery? If not, it's with Royal Mail and the free option they make it pretty clear in their comms that it's not a guaranteed service.

doubleshotcappuccino · 01/12/2023 18:00

Thank you so much ! I knew you would understand that's why I love MN ! @moijejoue got onto Deliveroo and have sorted something out so thank you for that. It was just one of those things after one of those years and i thought I was being organised.
Blooming Wild Delivery .. see? Fifteen minutes later I've got a solution and can see the funny side.. it's what we do .. now - onto Christmas xxx

@FMOX15 I paid and selected a specific date which was her bday ( today).

FMOX15 · 01/12/2023 18:03

If you paid extra for the guaranteed delivery and not the free option then they should be able to offer you more than that. I've always found their service really helpful and generous

Mothership4two · 01/12/2023 18:04

Glad you got it sorted OP. I would be fuming too

doubleshotcappuccino · 01/12/2023 18:08

Thanks - I've now been offered a full refund and been told it's been passed up for someone to look at and DD has something. Thank you all !!!

Bloom and Wild are generally awful!

RepetitiveMotion · 01/12/2023 18:14

I’ve ordered from both Bloom & Wild and Biscuiteers for delivery on specific special days multiple times and never, ever had a delivery on time.

doubleshotcappuccino · 01/12/2023 18:20

@moijejoue threw in some other treats too so all is well but it seems @AlwaysGinPlease @RepetitiveMotion this is not an isolated case ..Will think of something else next time!!

SaintJuliette · 01/12/2023 18:23

Did you pay extra for a guaranteed delivery? Usually it says "on or around" (though I've never used B&Wild)

I sent my DD similar postal flowers for her first birthday away from us.... whole house was asleep in delivery, so no one opened the door, the parcel went back to the sorting office and didn't get picked up for nearly a week (because students are lazy arses). That was a fantastic way to waste £25!

doubleshotcappuccino · 01/12/2023 18:26

@SaintJuliette oh no !!! Yes I paid for flowers on her birthday date which is today

always use bloom and wild, always been on time and always great quality - sad to see others haven’t had the same! Maybe I’ve been lucky.

AngelinaFibres · 01/12/2023 18:30

I always Google local florists in the area of the person I want to gift with flowers. They are usually small, far better quality and value for money and they always deliver on the day you want.

Fluffysocksfluffyhat · 01/12/2023 18:31

I used them once. I selected the day before my mums birthday just in case there was an issue. They still arrived 2 days late

I paid extra and was v disappointed.

Small as in small businesses so they actually touch the flowers they are sending out
