To ask for help with macros and PPT

Posting for traffic but also don’t know where else to put this anyway.

I want to create an interactive case study that learners can click ‘buttons’ or shapes to a) find info, b) click buttons to make choices/decisions that will then take them to the consequence of that particular decision and c) move through the case etc……and I think I maybe I need to use macros to do it, but I don’t know anything about macros.

Does anyone with expertise in this area have any advice or know of some good resources to learn about how to do this?

I'm not a ppt expert, more access and excel, but Microsoft makes it fairly easy to do the same things. In general you can just insert shapes or buttons, and then link that with an action e.g on a mouse click it will take you to page 2, or click somewhere else and you go to page 3 instead. If that's all you need should be fairly simple. Try using the Microsoft support guide maybe?

Add commands to your presentation with action buttons - Microsoft Support

Add a button on your slide and then apply an action to it such as 'Next' or 'Previous' or a hyperlink to a URL or even another presentation.

You Will need to enable the developer tab on the ribbon if I remember correctly to make buttons and such. I haven't done macros in PPT but have done them in excel and ms project and they are very simple it you just use the record macro option.
