Restrictions removed from DS iPhone

It was DS birthday last week and he got his first phone. It’s linked to my iPhone and I set up various content restrictions and set screen time limits. Discovered yesterday the restrictions and screen time limits had all been removed/switched off.

DS claims he does not know how this happened and it has nothing to do with him. I’ve changed the passcode just in case but am I missing anything? Anyone know if there’s a trick a friend may have shown him to circumvent parental controls?

Have a look at the screen time on his phone, and make sure you lock access to 'changes' to screen time on his phone.

Also check 'always allowed' on screen time as you have to add most apps and safari to the not allowed list. Meaning when screen time ends those apps and safari is blocked. Or messaging or what ever
