yes, friend im supporting bf, keeps being told by her mother, [who hasn't bf] that she shouldn't be feeding the baby that often as it will make her milk no good!!

is this the worse bf advice ever or what?

That's just terrible. Get your friend on here to be reassured about bf. Her mum needs advice too! good on you supporting your friend.

perhaps her mum has a deep rooted problem with bfing. If she didn't do it herself, and she obviously doesn't want her daughter to do it. Maybe she really has a problem.

Or she's an imbecile and deserves to be shot.

One or t'other.

Yes, your mate needs to hear some good advice, point her over here, or get her to ring the NCT or even speak to her MW or HV for some proper advice

Not her HV - my HV gave me the 'rod for your own back' comment when I foolishly told her I was demand feeding my dd.
