I'm pregnant and seen DB today for the first time in a couple of weeks. He made a comment about my belly saying how much I was showing now, then proceeded to lift my tshirt up a bit show everybody in the room my belly. I was so pissed off and told him I don't feel comfortable with that. He thought I was overreacting but I don't think I am at all.

MIL is also the same, everytime I see her she goes oooh show me the bump then opens my coat (if I'm wearing one) to look or puts her hand on my belly.

AIBU to wish people would just fuck off? I don't want people commenting everytime I see them and it's really pissing me off!

You are totally justified in slapping their hands away before they actually touch you.

It's wierd but for some reason loads of people seem to think that a pregnant woman's body is there for them to touch & comment on.
You need to knock it on the head very bluntly, they won't get subtle

@StripeyDeckchair To be honest I feel like slapping their faces rather than hands when they do it! I hate the constant comments and people fussing every time. I'm pregnant, not unwell.

I understand people mean well and I'm probably being a bitch but oh well 🤣

'Take your hands off my uterus/ off me' do not say please, do not smile. Its a huge overstep on their part
