Party invites

Probably wrong place to post so apologies.
I'm having a house party for my 40th birthday the 3rd weekend in January. My partner thinks I should send my invites out now given how busy peoples lives are. I think that's too early snd looks a bit desperate! should I wait till mid December or just get them out? Thoughts?

I'd send them now. People get busy and make other plans otherwise.

Although for a house party I wouldn't bother with an actual invite, I'd do a text to everyone.

Get them out. If you wait til Jan people are more likely to decline I think.

The last party invitation i got was at the end of August for an end of October party so i would say getting them out now would be about right.
