Amazon delivery

I know I'm not but posting for traffic...

Ordered a new vacuum on Black Friday. While we were out yesterday afternoon I got a notification saying that it had been delivered and handed to the resident. Clearly that hasn't happened. It's not in any of the usual spots it might have been left in. The driver does tend to leave our parcels on the doorstep, ring the doorbell and drive off before we've got there. Guessing it's been left on the doorstep and someone has walked past and taken it? Has anyone had this and were Amazon helpful? They're currently saying they won't help until 24hours have passed. I was excited for my new cordless hoover 😂.

I use Amazon lockers now for this exact reason, and for larger items that won't fit in them, they'll also deliver to some local shops or post offices.

There are two lots of Amazon lockers near me, and it's much more convenient than crossing your fingers about a delivery coming when it's meant to. And you have 3 business days to collect.

Have you contacted Amazon? They're usually really good. I had an empty box delivered to me that was supposed to be headphones. They added the money to my Amazon account as id bought two and whilst I thought they were fine DP wanted others after seeing mine. They could easily have said seems dodgy but didn't.

Amazon are usually fabulous and we get multiple deliveries a day running two businesses from home. But yesterday we were waiting for some jewellery to arrive, checked the app and it said posted through letter box, it wasn't so we contacted Amazon who said parcels are usually found within 24 hours, wait till then to report it. This morning oh found it in the garden frozen solid. Luckily we live in a good neighborhood and it was recycling day yesterday so it just looked like a bit of stray cardboard. Luckily it is also not worse for wear.

I live in a block of flats and they left my parcel on the front steps in full view. I was in so no excuse whatsoever.
