Duloxetine making me feel awful

Posting for traffic and to see if anyone has any advice or been through the same.

I had been on Citalopram 40mg for a few years and felt like I was taking a huge dip all of a sudden with my mental health, dr changed it over to duloxetine about 3 weeks ago and I've felt worse and worse.

I feel hopeless, scatty, can't get my thoughts in order, anxious, like I need to clean everything all of the time.

Has anyone had any similar experience with this? I'm tempted to start reducing tomorrow and call drs Monday to say I want to come off of them, I thought I felt bad on Citalopram but my god I feel awful right now.

I had a completely different reaction to duloxetine but it didn't suit me at all. I came off pretty quickly. I had most luck with escitalopram although I'm now on trazodone instead because it also helps me sleep. Neither of them had the weird side effects that duloxetine did!

I've been on duloxetine for about 7 years, I don't feel any more scatty than I was before. If its not agreeing with you, you should go back to the GP there are lots of different things they could try. Read the side effects see if it matches in with how you are feeling.

I am on it currently and haven’t experienced anything like you describe.
