Air Fryers

I bought a Ninja air fryer a few months ago and using it was great for cooking meals quickly.

I quite literally shelved it in the cupboard when I read multiple articles of air fryers being bad for your health and containing cancer causing agents.

What is everyone's thoughts on this? I can't seem to find a definitive answer with research as to whether they are safe to use or not.

Bah, what doesn't cause cancer these days. I love mine, use it all the time.

I hated mine and sent it back.
It couldn't even make chips.
A big disappointment.

I wouldn't really care if it was just me, but I have a 5 yr old daughter :/

Isn't it to do with the coating on the pans inside? I personally avoid non-stick coating because it's meant to be super dangerous.

I wonder if you could source equivalent size stainless steel pans instead to use. I've been looking into the Ninja Foodi multi cooker and know you can buy a compatible stainless steel liner for some of the models (not from Ninja but another brand but designed to fit), to use instead of the standard provided liners. Not sure if applicable for all models.

I'm not sure, I thought it was more to do with the plastic used in the construction of the thing and it heating up
