My 6 month old DD has had a cold, throat and ear infection and chest infection over the last 3 weeks.
She's much better in herself but at night she doesn't stop coughing, she tries to lay on her side but keeps falling back onto her back and coughing more.
She's just had a coughing fit so I lifted her out of her cot and held her insight in my shoulder and rubbed her back until she stopped. I put her back in her cot and she was trying to get onto her side again so I've rolled a blanket up and placed it behind her so that she's on her side and can't roll back and she's sound asleep now.
I won't leave the blanket there when I go to bed as I'm worried she'll be roll onto her front but has anyone got any tips or what I can do to help ease the cough? I've tried to raise the head of the cot but she ends up at the bottom, head crooked, in her sleeping bag (she's a wriggler).
We have the humidifier on during the day, should I leave it on in the bedroom at night? Just want to help her get a good nights rest 😞
