Did your shoe size change in pregnancy?!

Can’t decide whether or not to splurge on a nice pair of boots. They are £100 which isn’t money I’d spend lightly as I usually like my footwear to last for years

I have however heard that some people’s shoe sizes change in later stages of pregnancy and never go back! Did this happen for you?! I might be less inclined to purchase if so.

YABU - no, my shoe size stayed the same
YANBU - I went up by at least half a size!

I'm sure mine got smaller!!

Can't have done, but sometimes I could swear...

I went from a size 6 shoe to a size 7 and stayed at a 7.

Same

euromum · 24/11/2023 23:01

I went from size 6-7 after my second. Fourteen years later, I've just recently gone back down to size 6 again which has proved very annoying when ordering online!

HRTQueen · 24/11/2023 23:32

I went from 31/2 to a 4 or 41/2 abs never went back

they widened too

ladygindiva · 24/11/2023 23:35

Yeah I'm a half size bigger following my pregnancy ( 7 years ago). Delighted because I used to ba a half size which was a pita.

amispeakingintongues · 24/11/2023 23:38

Yep size 5 to 6 in my first pregnancy and never went back to a 5 😪 read it's something to do with your ligaments and joints relaxing from all the hormones

SoggyDoggyWalks · 24/11/2023 23:48

I went up half a shoe size and haven’t gone back down. DD is nearly 9 years old. I had pre-eclampsia from about 8 months (induced at 38 weeks) and had so much fluid retention after DD was born the only thing I could wear for a week was flip flops, and they were tight.

WithIcePlease · 24/11/2023 23:55

Up from 4.5 to 5
More convenient tbh

Amybelle88 · 25/11/2023 00:07

Fucking hell yes - width ways and length ways I was like fucking shrek.

Amybelle88 · 25/11/2023 00:08

Just to add they did return to normal I no longer have shrek feet. Maybe Fiona but not shrek.

toomanyleggings · 25/11/2023 00:10

I couldn’t get shoes on towards the end. Had to wear stretchy trainers. Glamorous times it was. Went back to normal afterwards though.

edwardcullensotherwoman · 25/11/2023 00:14

Yes they did! Pre-children I was a size 4 with a wonderful collection of shoes - 40+ pairs Blush in all colours and styles.
In my first pregnancy I went up to a 5 and stayed there, and my feet were wider. Didn't change with my second or third, but I gained another half size on my fourth 🙈

mondaytosunday · 25/11/2023 00:15

I went up size snd stayed there - now a very inconvenient size 9.

nutsnutspistachionuts · 25/11/2023 00:16

Half a size, small 6 to a big 6.

ellenpartridge · 25/11/2023 00:18

Yep went up a size and never went back down

O0oO0o · 25/11/2023 08:35

I went from a 4 to a 5 in my first pregnancy., and they didn't go back to a 4 afterwards. In my second pregnancy they didn't change.

Cedar13 · 25/11/2023 08:52

I went 6 to 7 and stayed at 7

IHeartGeneHunt · 25/11/2023 08:54

I went from 6 to 7.5.

romdowa · 25/11/2023 08:57

I went up a shoe size during pregnancy and stayed that size after. My Dr at the time told me some people's hands get bigger too !

Cattiwampus · 25/11/2023 08:57

Yes, from a 4 to a 5 and never went back.
