I'm currently two thirds of the way through a book. It's crap. Do I read to the end, or chuck it?

YABU - you've got this far, you might as well finish it now.

It's "The Hiding Place", I can't remember who it's by, my whippet got it and chewed the front cover, not that I care either way. I couldn't give a shit how it ends, anyway!

There is just something inside me that won’t let me drop a book without finishing it.

I’ve plowed through many a book just to drop it in the garbage as soon as I was finished. I also remember flinging “IT” across the room and cursing as soon as I read the last word of unnecessary drivel that the book contained (my god how do you turn what should have been a great scary story into an exercise in pointless words and absolute misery).

That being said I’ll drop a crappy audiobook faster than anything.
