Anxiety or something else?

DD is 7, she's always been a quiet and shy personality. Always really good, loves following rules and never in any trouble. She's struggled a bit with finding her 'group' at school but does have people that she plays with.
A few weeks ago she started complaining daily of headaches. She had got new glasses a few months before so we put it down to that but this has since been ruled out by the optician. She just went really quiet all the time and doesn't seem her normal happy self. I've spoken to her and asked her if anything is bothering her but there doesn't seem to be anything specific.
I'm getting a lot of calls from school that she's not well. They say it comes over her in waves, when it happens she goes really cold and shivery (not like her as she's always been one to get too hot even in winter), then says her head or her stomach is hurting, she also goes really lethargic. This lasts about an hour then goes again. Then this can continue in a pattern like that through the day.
I have been putting it down to anxiety but then the last week or so when this happens she's also getting a temperature. She's also been sick on a couple of these times too. The temp will last a couple of hours then seems to just disappear again, and if she's sick it's just once or twice whilst she's got a temp and then it's gone again.
Any body have a little one that's been through similar that can give advice?

I’d be thinking about drops in blood sugar, and I’d also be thinking about anxiety.

Have you seen a GP? If not then I would.

@DustyLee123 oh I hadn't thought of that! I will mention that when we see the dr.

Have you considered migraines? My daughter developed severe migraines as a young teen, and when we looked back at the patterns when she was younger we realised that what we thought had been passing sickness bugs were probably abdominal migraines. She'd get sick, then lethargic/sleepy, and then be OK again, and then a couple of weeks later it would happen again. Her migraines were accompanied by periods of anxiety. All under control now thank goodness, but it took many appointments with the pediatric neurologist to sort out. Definitely see the GP as a first step!

I think a lot of stuff gets chalked up to anxiety and not properly investigated. If you are worried push for more investigation. Vomiting and temperature is extreme for anxiety.

My other thought was neurodiverse. I was like this as a kid. Got called a hypercondriac dismissed as anxiety etc. As an adult I was diagnosed autistic and it all made sense and I've not been unwell like it since

Sorry to revive an 'oldish' thread but my son is having similar episodes and I wondered if your DD is feeling better now? Did you get any answers?
