Lighthearted. DH cooked a lovely dinner. It’s the start of I’m a celeb tonight which I totally forgot about! Usually each year I buy a fancy packet of crisps and some dips ahead of the start of it- we’ve got none in.

I want to drive to the local express store to get some before the show later tonight. I was telling my friend and she said she’d be offended if she were my DH since he’d been cooking all afternoon and having a snack for a programme isn’t really a big deal. It’s made me think twice now - WIBU to ignore friend and go anyway, or would it upset you if your other half did this? 😂

If the dinner was ready to plate up and you going to the shops delayed that or meant it went cold and had to be reheated then yes, rude. Or if you’re going to eat crisps before dinner and spoil your appetite, also rude. Otherwise, I can’t see a problem with going to buy crisps to eat later on, and presume your OH knows this is the TV show “ritual.”

If you made him delay dinner to get your crisps, that's the only way it'd be an issue. If you did this, then why couldn't you just wait until you've eaten? I'm A Celeb isn't on until later anyway.

Ask him.

Nah, not unless it's going to ruin your appetite or you are driving over dinnertime.
