i don’t own either but know lots who do. Generally everyone loves the robot vacuum but I’ve never heard anyone say they like the mop as they leave little puddles and streaks.

Littlebitofacold · 17/11/2023 15:27

We have the Eufy X8 I’m sure it is. The one that’s both. The Hoover functionally is great for every day use but obviously you’d still do a ‘big hoover’ at least once a week.

I’ve only used the mop function once or twice and wasn’t as impressed but I don’t have a huge amount of hard flooring so probably not enough to give it a proper chance. For the effort of adding on the mop pad and filling with water you could possibly just give the floor a once over with a flash mop type thing.

I bought one a few months ago and I love it! It's very handy with two small children and a cat in the house, just to pick up the stray crumbs.

Mercurial123 · 17/11/2023 15:30

I have an Eufy G10 I don't think it's great. Before that I had a L'efant which was so much better.

SunSparkle · 17/11/2023 15:32

We've just bought a Roborock S8 and I'm really happy with it. We had a much cheaper Eufy before and this one is fab. The mopping does well on our laminate and tiled floors. You'd still need to do the nooks and crannies every once and awhile but the everyday is good enough for my needs (as a shoes-off household)

Panda89 · 17/11/2023 15:45

I have both, robo vac is fabulous and picks up all the dirt the cats bring in daily!
The mop (same machine) is a bit useless, I never use it as it doesn’t clean anywhere close to my normal hand held mop.

Pleaseletitbebedtime · 17/11/2023 15:47

We have a eufy with a mop and it’s crap.

Sauerkrautsandwich · 17/11/2023 15:48

Also G10 Eufy. I got it on sale ao it's fine for the price. I have hard floors everywhere so it does good job on day to day clean, obviously not perfect into every corner, but keeps the dust in bay and floors looking presentable. For cheap one, it's ok. When he goes to hoover heaven, I will get some better one. Didn't want to spend loads not knowing if I am happy with it overall

Duvetfluff · 19/11/2023 09:14

Thanks ! DH has decided to research - hurrah, he’s looking at the ones you have suggested, thank you! And has found an ecovac which he seems keen on. (Because it’s a fortune! But I’m keeping quiet).

The actual vacuum part of great, but I can’t get the mop to work properly, it is supposed to use the water in the tank to wet the whole ‘cover’ that you slide over the tank, but all it does for me is leave two trails of water about an inch wide. I may be doing it wrong!

Absinthecracker · 19/11/2023 09:20

I’ve got one that does both, but too chicken to set up the mop one you inspired me to try it today

Shadesofscarlett · 19/11/2023 09:23

roomba hoover is fab - roomba mop pretty ineffective

MarathonBarbie · 19/11/2023 09:24

We have and ECOVAC and love it! I find the mop function pretty good, not necessarily great for big clean ups, but as a daily mop (we have it running overnight daily) it works great and keeps on top of it.

Chasingsquirrels · 19/11/2023 09:44

Robovac - I've had/got

Eufy 30C Max - brought Aug 2020, absolutely loved it.
Earlier this year one of the wheel motors broke, DP took it away to replace it and 10 days later I brought another (then he turned up with it fixed that weekend, so it became the upstairs one - and the motor has since broke again).

Eufy G30 - brought earlish 2023. Improvements over the 30C are "smart" navigation (it goes up & down in lines then does the perimeter rather than just completely random) and "mapping" but this just shows where it has been rather than enables you to tell it where to go.

It is scheduled to run @ 3am every day and does pretty much the whole of the downstairs as long as I leave the doors open.

I won't be without a robovac again.

Robomop

iRobot Braava Jet (its a mini type thing, small white & blue cuboid).
It does the job, but I'm not as enamoured with it as the robovac. (Having said that I had a burst pipe incident a year ago and the robomop was in the undersink cupboard & got flooded and stopped working, I was surprised how much I missed it and got it replaced under warranty.)
It is just more needy that the robovac, needs filling up & setting off etc.

And it just sprays and wipes, so the cleaning pad gets dirtier & dirtier.
I find if I use it regularly (every other day) it keeps on top of things but if I leave it then the floor needs a proper clean before starting again with it.

Duvetfluff · 20/11/2023 08:01

Thanks all! DH has gone for the ecovac - it’s a fortune but he liked that the mops are mops not pads and it washes and dries them itself.
im insanely excited! And trying to justify the cost but can’t, so sod it , I’ve decided it’s for my mental health😀

how did the mop go absinthcracker?!

Having posted yesterday I've been inspired to get Moppy out & running this morning.

Maddy70 · 20/11/2023 08:33

Don't bother with the mop version it's useless. The robot hoover bit is brilliant though of you have hard floors.

Tryingandfailingagain · 20/11/2023 08:38

I’ve have the Ultenic T10- brilliant

Had Eufys over the years, very good. Think they have improved greatly though. For our last one we decided to pay more and invest in one that mops too- ultenic t10 came out better in reviews and scores

LuckyCharmz · 20/11/2023 08:55

I actually like my Eufy vac with mop! I have a sparkly black porcelain tile floor and the mop is the only way to clean the floor that doesn’t leave streaks. I have two cats.
it wouldn’t be any good for muddy floors but it’s great for a wipe over. Love it.

Duvetfluff · 26/11/2023 09:39

Hello, reporting back!
we finally got the ecovac Omni t20.
OMG it’s brilliant! Clean floors! And best yet, it’s keeping DH busy 😀
