Is this even doable before Christmas?

I am losing my mind at the moment.

In October I started ripping out my living room with a view to plastering and decorating myself, and laying new laminate flooring.

There was wooden panelling on the one wall which I ripped off and I uncovered some pipes coming down the wall going into the old gas fire which has been disconnected for some time.

Also looking to get a new fire but realise this might not be possible before Christmas which is fine.

I had an appointment today to get the gas fire removed so I could at least sort that wall out for installation of a new one after Christmas. The called to cancel this morning. And rearranged for 29th Nov.

There is also a bit of wall jutting out one one side of the room from where the two rooms were knocked into one years ago.

I have always wanted this bit removed and realised this cannot be fine after the flooring is laid.

I've been trying to find a gas engineer and builder to sort the fire and wall so I can get on but it seems hopeless.

To top it all over im on holiday 8th to 18th December.

Is this doable or should I just give up?

If you didn't have your holiday booked yes. Because you do your pushing it BUT if you find the right people you MAY be able to get it done. However the best people will probably be booked up so it depends if luck is on your side!
Good luck! X

Plastering yourself was overly ambitious.
