Covid misery

I've had covid for the last week and I cannot seem to stop coughing. Open my mouth and I cough, move an inch and I cough. It's a dry hacking cough with no phlegm. Sometimes a coughing attack comes on out of the blue just from talking. My chest was very sore for the first few days but that's gone but this coughing still remains.

On top of that, I have this awful drained out, sleepy feeling behind the eyes. It's very hard to describe but I can just fall asleep in an instant.

Not really AIBU. Is anyone else feeling so utterly miserable with covid?

It's shit isn't it?

I think people sometimes forget that a mild case is not a synonym for trivial - it's jargon for "does not require hospital treatment" and can mean you are really ill at home for quite a while.

Current variant seems to be flooring people for a week or two.

I hope you're on the mend soon
