Just that really.

I'm in a family court hearing at 11am. I'm joining remotely from home due to DA and currently off work due to the stress of it all. This is the umpteenth time my ex has taken me to court and the impact on our life is so profound.

I'm sat here alone on the sofa in total panic, I can feel my hands shaking and just rushes of fear and adrenaline as the time edges closer.

Just here for words of comfort and positivity really.

Hold tight. It will soon be over.

You've got this, we will sit alongside you for a while and hold your hand.

Thanks ❤️ it feels slightly unbearable right now.

I hope it went OK and you are feeling as good as you are able.
Do you want to talk about it?

Thanks all.

Hearing went quite well but I cried for a lot of it and found it difficult to represent myself properly. The judge said "these repeated applications have a huge impact on your child" and my ex must have nodded (I attended remotely) because then the judge said "I don't know why you're nodding Mr X, it's you who keeps making them." I felt like the judge could see through him. He hides behind these horrible messages and emails and presents a sense of authority but when he's challenged, especially by a man, he completely unravels and becomes so transparent.

The judge said he's minded to make a barring order until our child turns 18 which ex contested so he has four weeks to file a statement setting out why he would object to this.

I'll keep my fingers crossed

Glad you did OK well done. Hope he continues to show his true colours to the judge

FuzzyPuffling · 17/11/2023 07:39

Well done sunday. It sounds like the judge saw through the bs.
You've done well!

determinedtomakethiswork · 17/11/2023 07:41

It does look as though the judge saw him for the complete prick he is. I really hope he is barred from seeing his children. He sounds very abusive.

Sounds like you did really well, OP. I can't imagine how hard that must have been. If the order succeeds that may be a really good outcome. xxx
