Deliberate act of damage?

I found a nail stuck in a piece of plasticy paper on my wheel this evening - car on drive (car was at work during the day in a car park) only just stuck in so made me check the curb side infront of my drive to only find another but this time with writing on one side.
on closer inspection the circle bit under the nail helps keep the nail facing upwards in position.

I think deliberate as no other along kerb side of neighbours - but I have no idea who as no current issues with neighbours or is this a massive coincidence ?

under what circumstances would a nail be in this type of plasticy paper? Does anyone recognise it or seen something similar?

i have been victim of vandalism many years ago so has upset me more that it probably
should.

I’m struggling to find s logical
explanation. It would need a strong wind to blow it to my curb side it’s really anchored well with the weight of the plasticy paper and the nail and the circle bit.

aibu?

That looks like it's come off a delivery pallet.

I don't think it's malicious.

The plasticky paper looks like plant labels. The nails look like rivets but either way, theres no way they were where you found them accidentally. Someones placed them there.

WiddlinDiddlin · 14/11/2023 21:23

Labels from a palleted order for someone makes sense but two, in two different tyres of your car... were they placed so if you moved the car they'd go into the tyres or placed as if you may have picked them up if you'd driven through a bunch dropped somewhere?

SleepingBeautySnores · 14/11/2023 21:25

Could it be that they were in someone's van who perhaps made a delivery and were accidentally pulled out and dropped by your drive? The reason I suggest this is that my DH found a large screw in the road just outside our house today, I said he'd better keep it as we've literally just moved in, and could it have dropped out of something of ours as it was unloaded. He said no, he'd seen a builder's van at the house opposite earlier, and thought it probably came from that. Just a thought.

Just to clarify, one was sticking out of my wheel (i noticed as was parked
on my drive I came home from work at 4pm but was going out again at 6- so I think I have driven over that one. I went to check the curb in-front of my drive and there was another one. (The one with writing on)

I think it's just litter that's unfortunately found its way to your drive.

Seems unlikely that someone would deliberately sabotage with something with what looks like a name and company written on.

469 olives is intriguing though. Edible ones? Plumbing ones? Barrels of? Individual?!
