This. We have dog walkers in our local park walking 5 -9 dogs at once. Minimum £15 per hour ( that's the cheapest one) and two or three of these pack walks per day. No insurance, no control. And to be clear, I love dogs. But I want these irresponsible dogs walkers held to account, and they aren't. And, frankly, the owners of dogs who think this is all OK. I wouldn't let my dog out with them ever. If you take on a dog, fair enough you may not always be able to walk them, but why would you agree to this risk to your dogs with an uninsured and incompetent "walker"?
It's time that they were required to register, to have insurance, to be limited to the number of dogs they can walk at once, and charged for using public parks for business purposes. And there should be heavy fines for anyone not complying, which can go, with the fees collected, to increased dog wardens.
